Inspired by Final Fantasy VII: Remake, it was a must to paint Cloud Strife in a dress. The updated Honey Bee Inn sequence is one of the showstopping joyous moments of the game.
What started out as a random idea became a MASSIVE undertaking of many hours, too many all-nighters, many revisions, lighting changes, saturation adjustments, value checks, painting so many flowers. So. Many. Freaking. Flowers. Also watching a 15 hour Remake and playthrough on Youtube four times and pausing to stare at the tiniest details. Finding a clear shot of the sword engraving was a pain, also how it went together.
Overall, it’s got lots of details I’ve never been particularly good at before. Architecture, weaponry, back musculature, and foliage. A lot of tutorials and piles of reference later, I’m pretty proud of the result.
